The Thanksgiving Table

Decorating the Thanksgiving Table
Nothing makes me happier than seeing my family and friends for a Thanksgiving feast -- and decorating for it, of course! Since the turkey is the star of the table show, I like to
keep the table scape simple and elegant using natural elements such as leaves, pinecones, and pumpkins. They bring the warm spirit of Thanksgiving to the table while allowing the feast to shine.

Fall Place Setting
Each guest's linen napkin is adorned with an antique napkin ring, a fall leaf, and cluster of small pinecones.

Gold rimmed china and silver place settings make the holiday feel traditional and elegant.

This simple, clean, and modern look uses white plates, a rolled linen napkin, and a magnolia pinecone.

Making a Thanksgiving Table Centerpiece 1

For an earth tone centerpiece, I start out with a silver tray covered in a rich brown moss.

An gold antique bowl is filled with the same moss.

A pumpkin made from branches is placed in the middle of the bowl.

I begin to surround the pumpkin with pinecones.

The circle of pinecones is complete.

Here are some beautiful magnolia branches with leaves and pinecones I found outside.

Setting the magnolia branches on either side of the tray gives fullness to the centerpiece. Voila!

Colorful Thanksgiving Centerpiece

For a more colorful centerpiece, I've surrounded a hot orange fairytale pumpkin with white pumpkins and pink bougainvillea flowers.
